Election

We had a mock election on World History class today. Out of the twenty-four students in that class, two of us voted for John Kerry. The other twenty-two insisted that Kerry is "stupid", an "idiot", a "retard", and "butt ugly". That was the most explanation I could get from them on their opinion. (A few did say Kerry was a flip-flopper, but could not say just what, exactly, he "flip-flopped" about.) Then again, this is the same class which thought that the two political parties were Democrats and Representatives. One classmate of mine had no idea who Kerry was before today. We also voted whether on Measure One, which would ban gay marriage in our state, should be passed. Surprisingly, only nine people in the class supported the measure. Then again, most of the class was hopelessly confused by the question. (The teacher spent ten minutes trying to explain the question, then gave up.)

Of course, I am only babbling about this in an effort to distract myself from the real election. Now, I must surrender the computer to my brother and return to sitting in front of the TV, crossing my fingers.
