The local college just held their annual Tech Day this week. It's a competition in which there are five individual events (Website Design, Spreadsheet, Speed Keyboarding, Document Production, and Desktop Publishing) and one team Powerpoint event. I ended up taking 1st in the web design event, but what's even more wonderful is that my school's team of female underclassmen tied for first in the entire competition!

I confirmed my complete lack of fashion sense by wearing one of my toothbrush bracelets to school on Tuesday. Surprisingly enough, nobody actually noticed that my bracelet was made from a toothbrush until I took the bracelet off, at which point they either squeed over it or gave me funny looks for the rest of the day... Next up are Capri Sun purses and wallets, and my origami dollar bill ring.

My mother is forcing me to attend religious education classes again this year. I haven't complained too much yet; after all, I've only actually gone three times so far. However, today was confession, and I therefore spent over an hour waiting silently for my turn. I entertained myself by timing everyone else's confessions. The shortest one lasted fifty-seven seconds, while the longest one was three minutes and fifteen seconds. I suspect that everyone's actual confession consisted of the same thing ("I didn't obey Mommy and Daddy and I fought with my siblings"), and the longer times were only due to the obligatory conversation with the priest afterward.
