Lots of stuff
Dec. 24th, 2003 12:01 amI just spent half an hour making these with my mom as a gag gift for my aunt and uncle. 'Twas quite odd, but fun!
Since I've been bad and not updated since forever, here's some stuff that happened:
December 11: Went to the library and checked out King of Shadows, by Susan Cooper, about a young actor who ends up going back to Shakespeare's time. It's a very good book; go read it!
December 15: Audition on piano for a concerto contest. I was very nervous, and finding out that all the other people auditioning were seniors didn't help. Still, the audition went well, other than me starting the last section at nearly twice the speed I usually play it.
December 16: Biology powerpoint presentation. I was extremely worried that I would somehow manage to lose the presentation, or that someone would delete it off the school computer. I guess I shouldn't have worried so much; I'd forgotten how many silly bonus points Mr. D. gives out. I ended up with 110% on the project.
December 17: Forgot to give my best friend her Christmas present before she left for California. *cue major guilt trip*
December 18: Results from the audition came in. Would you like to know who won the [city name] Symphony Orchestra High School Soloist Competition? A cello duet. Am extremely annoyed. I didn't expect to win (and I don't really think I should have, anyways), but I did expect them to stick to the rules. Gah.
December 19: Went caroling with a bunch of music teachers and people from church choir. It's fun to sing when everyone else knows how to sing, too.
December 20-22: Was lazy.
Today: Church choir practice for three hours. It was pretty fun, actually. Marcy (the choir director) is letting me play lots of stuff on piano this year, and I get to play clarinet a little, too.
More thorough updates coming after Christmas, I promise. Maybe I'll get brave and post some of my attempts at fan art.
