My choir director, Mr. K., handed out a new piece of music on Wednesday called "Sweet William". It's about a lady whose boyfriend goes off to war and dies. Then, the lady finds out and commits suicide. Obviously, it's a very sad song. Mr. K. was going on about all the emotion we should put into this song, but I was having enough trouble just keeping a straight face. Why? The most touching part of the song, according to Mr. K., is the section where we sing the melody on the word 'loo'. And the whole time we were singing, I was just thinking 'Toilet? Yeah, that'll bring tears to the audience's eyes. Very sad and beautiful, toilets are.'
